I absolutely love planning our monthly baking experiences for my GF Baking Club for Kids. Each and every time I think of not only what we will bake but what I can add that will make it a true experience for my bakers.
This month we are making Snickerdoodle Cupcake Cookies with a theme that is centered around Easter and Spring.
These cookies are absolutely amazing. They are great both with or without the cream cheese frosting. But the frosting gives them a little extra that may make it seem like they are biting into a cupcake. How fun!
As you many or may not know each box comes with 375 grams (3 cups) of my very own PREMIUM flour blend. I worked so hard to perfect the perfect gluten free flour blend to make our baked goods delicious. These mini bags are prepared in Authentic Foods dedicated gluten free facility. I am so lucky that they support my mission to serve the children in our gluten free community.
We weigh what we need using a digital scale and my bakers save the rest for future baking.
There were 3 special ingredients needed for these cookies and usually if there is something special needed I try to include them. I always include xanthan gum (Bob’s Red Mill brand), but this month I also included Arrowroot (Authentic Foods Brand) and Cream of Tarter (Judee’s brand).
Next are all the goodies
Starting with a themed activity sheet.
A piping bag for the frosting.
A 1.5 tablespoon size cookie scoop.
No Whey brand treats hidden in plastic Easter Eggs.
A lollipop
The final touch is this month’s collectable coin.
But the biggest surprise this month was that 2 Bakers Boxes had a GOLDEN EGG included with the recipient receiving a $25 Amazon gift card.
It was so fun seeing who received them. It was like our very own virtual Easter egg hunt.
